Shop Policies

Thank you for supporting handmade work! Each piece is created with care and packed thoughtfully to help it arrive safely. Please review the policies below before placing your order.

Processing Time

Orders are typically processed within 3–5 business days.

Processing time refers to preparation and packaging only. It does not include carrier transit time. Tracking information will be provided once your order ships.

During busy periods, processing may take slightly longer. You will be notified if that occurs.

Shipping

All orders ship with tracking.

I use protective packaging designed for fragile ceramics. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on the selected method.

Once a package is transferred to the carrier, delivery timing is outside of my control. Tracking information will always be provided.

A Note on Packaging

Whenever possible, I reuse clean, sturdy packaging materials that I’ve received in my own shipments before turning to new eco-friendly supplies. This means the type of packing materials in your order may vary — you might spot reused boxes, cushioning, or paper — but everything is carefully chosen to keep your pieces safe.

Reusing first helps reduce waste, keeps shipping costs more manageable for both of us, and lessens my studio’s environmental footprint. When reused materials aren’t available, I opt for recyclable or compostable alternatives whenever I can.

If you’re able, I encourage you to reuse or recycle the packaging materials as well — whether that means saving a box for your next shipment, passing along cushioning to a friend, or properly recycling what you can. I’ve even repurposed large boxes broken down as a ground cover to start my no-dig gardens! Small choices add up, and I’m grateful to be part of that effort together.

Insurance & Damaged Or Lost Packages

If a package is lost or arrives damaged, a claim will be filed directly with the carrier.

If your order arrives damaged, please contact me at help@kemberspottery.com within 48 hours of delivery and provide:

  • Clear photos of the item
  • Photos of the inner packaging
  • Photos of the outer shipping box
  • A photo of the shipping label

All packaging must be retained until the claim process is complete, as documentation is required.

Once the insurance claim is resolved, I will provide either a replacement (if inventory allows) or a refund, at my discretion based on inventory availability and the claim outcome. Do not ship back damaged pottery; please use caution when discarding broken pottery responsibly, since shards can cause injury.

Gift Orders

If you mark your order as a gift at checkout and include a gift message, I will include a printed gift message card inside the package. Gift messages should be appropriate for a family-friendly brand environment; if I deem the message to be inappropriate, no message will be sent on the recipient’s card.

No pricing information will be included in gift orders. Recipients will see the name of the gift sender. 

Please note: Gift wrapping is not currently offered. Items will be packaged securely for shipping only. I am happy to help make your gift feel special within these guidelines.

Returns & Exchanges

All sales are final.

I do not accept returns or exchanges for change of mind, preference, or minor variation.

Because each piece is handmade, subtle differences in size, glaze, texture, or finish are normal and part of its character.

Color & Screen Variation

Colors may appear slightly different in person than on screen due to differences in device displays, lighting, and photography. I make every effort to represent items accurately, but minor variation in tone or color is expected and not considered a defect or warrant for return.

Shipping Address Accuracy

Please ensure your shipping address is entered correctly at checkout.

I am not responsible for orders shipped to an incorrect address provided by the customer. If a package is returned due to an address error, additional shipping charges will apply for reshipment.

Intellectual Property & Retail Use

All designs, product photography, written content, and brand materials are the property of this studio and may not be copied or used without permission.

Items available through this website are offered for direct retail purchase only and are not intended for wholesale or consignment resale. These designs may be considered in the future for wholesale or consignment partnerships at the studio owner’s discretion and would require a written mutual agreement outlining terms and responsibilities.

Unauthorized reproduction, rebranding, or misrepresentation of these items as the work of another creator is not permitted.

Pricing & Billing

Prices, discounts and promotions are subject to change without notice. The price charged for a product or service will be the price in effect at the time the order is placed and will be set out in your order confirmation email. Unless otherwise expressly stated, posted prices do not include taxes, shipping, handling, customs or import charges. 

You agree to provide current, complete and accurate purchase, payment and account information for all purchases made at our stores. You agree to promptly update your account and other information, including your email address, credit card numbers and expiration dates, so that I can complete your transactions and contact you as needed. 

You represent and warrant that (i) the credit card information you provide is true, correct, and complete, (ii) you are duly authorized to use such credit card for the purchase, (iii) charges incurred by you will be honored by your credit card company, and (iv) you will pay charges incurred by you at the posted prices, including shipping and handling charges and all applicable taxes, if any.
