The Loch Ness monster has been fascinating tourists and locals alike in Scotland for decades, though the legend is centuries old. Even our Lake Michigan supposedly has its own Nessie... (As does the Puget Sound in Washington, and Lake Champlain in Vermont.) She inspired thalassophobia (the fear of large, deep bodies of water) long before Bruce from Jaws was around... This Nessie ring stand is an homage to my own Scottish heritage and a strangely affectionate nod to my own phobia. She sits ominously in shadow atop a pool of glossy, murky, dark blue glaze. She'll wear your treasures beautifully while also making you question if it's safe to go back in the water this Summerween...
